Last night we finally went to pick out our Christmas tree! I have been waiting weeks for this! If I had it my way, I would be all decorated for Christmas by November 2nd! I love Christmas so much, and I want to enjoy it as long as possible!
It’s been our tradition to get our Christmas tree at The Guardsman’s Lot in Fort Mason. We’ve been going there for over 4 years now, and we love it every year. It’s a huge warehouse building filled with trees of all sizes, beautiful wreaths and garland. You can find gorgeous ornaments and stock up on sorts of lights, and they even have a play area for the kids to play while you shop. Did I mention the bounce house?
We love this place because all the proceeds go to charity, the prices are reasonable for being in the city, and they even serve free alcohol to help get you into a giving, holiday spirit! (Just be sure to tip well! It’s for charity!) We always have a glass of wine to get us started. and pre-Lucy it was shots of Fireball! Oh, the good ol’ days!
For those of you in the city, mark your calendars for the Tree Lot Party on Saturday, December 16th. It’s a great party with food, drinks and lots of Christmas cheer. The best part, all proceeds benefit at-risk Bay Area youth. So gather up a group of friends and go hang out with the trees for the night. It’s always a great time.
Does your family have a tradition for getting your Christmas tree? Do you go to a lot like this, or go chop it down yourselves? Maybe your family uses a fake tree? I love hearing from you! Like, comment and share!
